Adult deer ticks emerge around Columbus Day each fall, and stay active until the air temperature is steadily below 40 degrees F. A fall treatment will greatly reduce the breeding population for the following spring.
Deer ticks and the Lyme disease associated with them have become one of Rhode Island’s and Connecticut’s top health threats.
Lyme disease is difficult to prevent because the Deer ticks that carry the disease are so small (the size of a poppy seed), which makes it nearly impossible to find the ticks on ourselves, our children and our pets.
Ticks CAN be effectively eliminated from your yard through a proactive approach with regular applications of the appropriate product.
